I started off from L B Nagar and took Hyderabad -- Warangal route to reach Yadagirigutta. This Yadagirigutta is about 70 Kms from Hyderabad, The State Highway is excellent with three track road on both sides. Driving on this highway is a pleasure. Once we cross Boduppal, the road is free from traffic and drive safely and smoothly. There is a Toll Gate after Bibinagar

There are no railway crossings and we can reach the Gutta in less than 70 minutes. We pass through, Ghatkesar and by pass Bibinagar and Bhongir. There is a restaurant on highway after Bhongir by name Hotel Vivera, where we can get good breakfast in the morning and good lunch in the afternoon.

Best time to start from Hyderabad is early hours of the morning to have the driving pleasant. Darshan at the temple in the mornings is pleasant.

My friends and I started journey to Warangal by car in the morning at 6 am. And the good thing was the highway was very good till about Yadagirigutta and then onwards the road was somewhat not good but we cannot feel much about the road. When we entered the Warangal city it was about 11 am.

We firstly had decided to see the nearby places in the city so we decided to see thousand pillar temple, Warangal fort and then to ramappa temple. Travellers need not to be worried about the hotels or restaurants because there are many hotels and restaurants along the roadside and in the city it has best haritha kakatiya hotel, suprabha hotel and some other hotels.

First we visited thousand pillar temple situated in centre of the city. It was one of the best heritage sites in the state it was soo good to see. Then we travelled to see Warangal fort where we saw the historic sites. And lastly we travelled to see Ramappa temple. When we saw the temple we were overjoyed of the great architecture of the temple and we enjoyed a lot there and also went for boating in ramappa river and had fun.

Though Hyderabad is considered as a place that doesn't have many weekend getaways. Warangal is an exceptional to the list. The road connectivity is very good. One can opt the NH163 Highway. On the way to Warangal, there is a refreshment center named "Food 7" - which is too good for a break-up journey. The place has got ample parking and the bathrooms and toilet are well maintained. The food served over there is also of high standards and you will have plenty of options available.

If you have own/rented car, then you could explore in and around Warangal - such as Ramappa, Malluru Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and Bhadrachalam. Though it's a single road from Warangal to the above mentioned places, the traffic is very less and you will enjoy the drive through the banks of the river Godavari.

Beautiful temple to visit. Marvelous sculptures and splendid architecture. In fact, we missed out a river near-by. :( Got to know the same once when we are back to Hyderabad. Anyways, we are planning to visit again.

If you are planning to visit Ramappa Temple, then start early from...more »

Good road is better but it's single way. Have to be careful while drive. Going by Yadagirigutta en-route and can have the darshan of God on the way. Any way it was a moderate experience overall. Petrol pumps are many some are good to see with good land space. Need to be cautious while driving. Cell phone use while driving strictly to be banned.

Our journey to Warangal was exotic. It is compatible for all ages. Road was clean and tidy. Sweep turns and no disturbances. Cool weather and we really enjoyed the cool weather at night. Passing by trees, oxygen level was high. The must visiting restaurant is named as Gulab Shashi.

My advice to travellers is to obey the traffic rules as there lot of accidents happening in this route and we all donít want to die as you know in fact. We should be safe, so drive safely. Donít hesitate to ask the route if you miss somewhere.
