"Great experience"

  • Posted Jan 2, 2012
I along with my family (wife and 3yr old kid) spent the most delightful, relaxing and pleasurable vacation in the last week of Dec. (3 day and 3 nights) at Honeypot Homes. It truly felt like a home away from home. Mr Faisal, who felt more like a friend than the owner, and his team at Honeypot Homestay have covered all bases and provide more than expected. In fact I am still not able to find fault with either the place or the services provided by the courteous and friendly people of Sandal Cad Estate. It is even prettier than what can be seen in the photographs provided. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who wishes to spend some quality time at a truly serene and peaceful destination.

Best Experience: The coffee plantation tour, having breakfast under the early morning sun... but the most memorable experience of my entire trip to Coorg has to be spotting flying squirrels in the pitch of the night. Thanks Faisal... would have loved to go again.

Worst Experience: Absolutely none.

"I am glad to have..."

I am glad to have chosen Honey Pot Homes over all other home stays. The location is amazing in the midst of 250 acres of this coffee plantation. It is amazingly quite place and after ages I actually heard birds chirping in the morning. The cottages are beautifully and luxuriously designed. Facilities are excellent. The cottages are located near to the owner\'s house, still secluded enough to give you privacy. There are places outside the cottages where you can have your lunch and breakfast served, be it the tree house or the veranda. A walk into the plantation is just amazing. Shamvel, who is one of the owners, shows you around the plantation. And he is definitely an expert in doing what he does. That makes the whole experience even more amazing. We also went out in search of Civet cats (do read about them on the internet) and flying squirrel in the night with Shamvel. The whole family is very friendly and welcoming. Do visit the plantation if you get a chance. Its worth the stay.

Best Experience: The cottages, the tour of plantation, night walk in search of wild animals :-)

Worst Experience: Nothing as such

"Honey Pot Homes is a..."

Honey Pot Homes is a great place to stay. One can spend a lot of time exploring the coffee estate. A trip is usually arranged and a guide provided. There is a waterfall inside and the walking in the coffee, vanila, pepper plantations is heavenly. There are many intesting places to visit around the estate - Bylakuppe, Chiklihulle, Madekeri, Nagarhole etc...

Best Experience: The hosts are friendly & warm and helped us plan our sight seeing trips. The trip inside the estate too was arranged for and a lot of fun.

Worst Experience: There were no bad experiences!
