 The Agonda beach is quiet and clean but offers some exciting activities such as dolphin spotting, and riding water scooters. But it is advised to take care while swimming here because of the strong undercurrents in the water. Tourists can visit the fort of Cabo de Rama nearby that is named after the Hindu god Rama. The trip to the fort meanders past quaint villages and countryside, which is quite delightful. For a change in scenery and better tourist facilities, a day trip to the beaches of Colva and Covelossim can be made.

Agonda also offers tourists a chance to hire a tent and camp for the night or go mountain hiking and biking among the coconut plantations. There is an ancient Hindu temple to which one can trek to.

Agonda is a small fisherman's village located 37 km south of Margao and 10 km north of Chaudi. The beach falls on a detour from Palolem beach. It is known for its isolated location and a three-kilometer long stretch of sand, fringed with palm trees and casuarinas. Agonda is bounded by a large hill on its south. Due to its isolation, there are very few facilities available here but that is exactly what makes this beach very attractive.
