| Sightseeing Highlights:
There are numerous Mughal era buildings here and one of the main one is the Ahmednagar Fort, once called as the second most impregnable fort in India. This fort was used by Britishers to imprison Jawaharlal Nehru and other leaders during India?s freedom struggle. A few rooms have been converted into a museum and it also houses the second largest display of military tanks in the world.
The other main attraction here is its proximity to Shirdi (about 2.5 hours away) where the famous Sai Baba temple is located. People also visit the Chand Bibi Tomb or Salabat Khan Tomb, which is a three-storey structure, made up of solid stone and offers great views of the city at night.
There is also the Meher Baba temple and the ancient Maliwada Ganesh temple to see.

One can buy strawberries from the strawberry farms at Savedi and Punjarapol.
A visit to the village of Ralegan Siddhi will teach people about environment conservation, since it has pioneered many developmental activities.
