Ambala city in the state of Haryana
was founded by Amba Rajput in the 14th Century. There are two
stories behind the city's name; according to one the township was named after
the founder. In the other version, Goddess Bhawani Amba granted her name to the
city, Ambala.By 1843, the village town of Ambala had been turned
into a British cantonment with an outlay of grid city design. Ambala district
was also breaking grounds in the industrial world with a handful of factories
even in the early to mid-1940's time period. The booming city of Ambala today is well known
for its industrial edge in scientific instruments.Ambala is known as the spot with
the largest natural lakes to be located in the state of Haryana. This city
has ancient and medival shrines that can be visited for a religious and
historical round of explorations in learning more about the township. There are
the three gurudwaras known as the Badshahi Bag Gurudwara, the Sis Ganj
Gurudwara, and the Manji Sahib Gurudwara. These gurudwaras shrines are
