| About Baga Tourism |
|
Baga beach in Goa lies 10 km west of Mapusa town and is an extension of Calangute beach. It offers the perfect escape for those looking for peace and quiet unlike the larger beaches in Goa. Essentially, Baga is a fishing beach and its russet sands are now a top draw among tourists for sun-bathing and watersports. The Baga River
flows along one side of the beach, which drops steeply to the water.

The main road running through the village to the beach is dotted with
bars and pubs, tandoori grills and handicraft shops. The Saturday flea
market of Baga
is a hugely popular amongst tourists and locals and lasts well into the
night. All kinds of odds and ends, handicrafts, jewellery and food
stalls can be found here. In one |
