Benaulim beach in Goa is a fairly quiet beach compared to the crowded north Goa beaches or its neighbour, ColvaBeach. It is a vast stretch of white sand that begins where Colva beach tapers off and is famous for fishing or simply lazing around.
Located in south Goa, this beach town is a little south of Margao.
According to folklore Lord Parashurama shot an arrow from the Sahyadris
to the Konkan land, which landed here, hence it is also called Banavali
(baan means arrow in Sanskrit).
