Located about 70 km from Chandrapur town, Bhamragarh
Wildlife Sanctuary is predominantly a tribal area and inhabited by the
Gond-Madia tribes. It is home to a variety of wild animals including
the leopard, jungle fowl, wild boar and sloth bear. The sanctuary also
is home to the barking deer, blue bull, peacock and flying squirrel
among other animals.
Sightseeing Highlights:
The
most popular activity is the guided trips inside the sanctuary to watch
the animals, conducted by the local forest department. Regular morning
and evening safari rides take tourists into the forest. You must be
accompanied by an authorized guide, who will also help you to spot
animals.

Another
place of interest around the sanctuary is the Hemalkasa Lok Biradari
Project run by Dr Prakash Amte, a social worker and reformist,
