Yercaud Sightseeing - Big Lake

The first thing that attracts a visitor is the lake. The name "Yercaud" itself means "Yeri"lake and "Kaadu" i.e. forest. This lake is a picturesque pool surrounded by gardens and well wooded areas. Boating in the cold water of the lake is enchanting as well as refreshing. The garden surrounding the lake is well groomed and is at its best during the month of May when the summer festival is organized. One can avail the boating facilities available here. Boats come in two options ? paddleboats and row boats.

Many families spend a lot of time boating and taking pictures here. But remember to carry enough woollens since it gets pretty chilly out here.
