Located along the river Damodar, Bokaro district is home to India's
largest steel complex. It is home today to as many as 8 lakh people
from all over the country and considered as a Mini India. The
surrounding regions are quite picturesque with green valleys and
streams.
Sightseeing:
One must visit the Steel Plant and see the entire process of steel making, since this is the main activity in Bokaro. The Bokaro Ispat Pustakalaya is a library that has as many as 40,000 books to browse from. Visit the well known City Park, and its artificial lake, including the three new Japanese styled islands.
