About Calangute Tourism

Between the beaches of Baga and Candolim lies the 4 mile long Queen of Beaches, Calangute. This idyllic fishing village with its beautiful coconut tree lined, pristine beach was said to have been discovered in the 1960's by the hippies. It paved the way for the many European tourists who come flocking to this place. Now the foreigners have moved further away, and the Indian tourists have taken over Calangute, making it by far the most visited beach in Goa. The most happening beach of Goa, you will find everything here great food, shopping, entertainment and a wide choice of accommodation. But it's definitely the choice of the extrovert, and not for those seeking solitude.

Lots of variety in food with veg and sea food. Hotel little Italy I like the best here, fort palace one should go once, andActivities & things to do
Activities here are mostly water rides, or you can go to any night club too, that is very good experience, one should always carry shortTravel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Depends where you stay, like from delhi, taking direct flight is the best, but if you have time and budget then you can go in

 AC Accomodation below Rs.1000
Friends, I will be visiting Goa in December (7th to 11th). I would want to stay in an AC room in a beach side hotel at either Calngute or Candolim or Miramar Beach. Please help me in finding a suitable hotel which is clean and safe (as I will have my family) at a cost of below Rs. 1000. Please help me in this regards as I have no idea about Goa hotels.
 Goa in monsoons
Dear Travellers, I was planning a trip to Goa in the first week of July 2008. We do not swim and neither are we the types who love sweltering summers. We loved Kerala during the monsoons. Please do suggest whether Goa is a good choice for a july tour. Also, if there will be some beaches available for a stroll or to laze around..if yes, which beaches are within reach even during monsoons. Your help is highly solicited! regards, Suhani
