About Chittoor Tourism

Located in the Poini River valley of southernmost Andhra Pradesh, on the Bangalore-Chennai highway, Chittoor is 154-km from Chennai. It is the headquarters of the district and is known for its architectural temples, striking monuments, wildlife sanctuaries and cultural festivals. Chittoor is also a centre for mangos, grain, sugarcane, and peanuts. Its industries include oil pressing and rice milling.

Sightseeing Highlights:

The main attraction of Chittor lies in its proximity to Tirupati (67 km away) the world famous ‘holy hill’ that houses the Venkatshwara temple.
