| About Dahanu Tourism |
Located in the Thane district, about 145 kms from Mumbai, is Dahanu.
It is a quiet seaside town with a sprawling, uncluttered beach. The
entire beach stretch is about 17 kms, lined with casuarinas trees. The Dahanu
village is mainly a fishing community. The entire stretch also has
fruit orchards and is famous for its chickoos. According to stories,
this area was once a barren and isolated stretch, until the Iranis came
here and inhabited it. Now it has many stately Parsi mansions and
holiday homes.
Sightseeing Highlights:
The only thing to do here is to visit the beach and
enjoy the sea. The waves are calm and have no undercurrents. The beach
is extremely broad during low tide and you can also go for long walks
or play volleyball and football on the sands. Building sandcastles and
collecting sea shells are another way of wiling away your time. |

Very Very Beautiful Beach of Dahanu.
| Overview of the destinationThe Beaches of Dahanu are vary beautiful. I stayed here for almost a week. and i enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful climate.Very peaceful and Food, sight-seeing and shopping The food is excellent, and the great sight seeing ,great sun set point, and greenery all around. Activities & things to do trekking, visit to mahalaxhni temple, Saibaba temple Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. 2 hrs from Borivali to Dahanu Station through Train |
