While in
Durshet, you can visit the Hot Water Springs which is located at Uddhar, (27 Kms, from Durshet).
Those who are religiously inclined should visit the famous Ganapati temples
that are part of the Ashtavinayak Circuit, the Pali
Ganapati and
the Mahad Ganapati. The Old
Pali Fort lies at about 20 kms away from Durshet. The famous battlefield of Umbarkhind (where the Maratha warrior
Shivaji ambushed the vastly superior army of Kartalab Khan) is also nearby.

The river
Amba is a feast for those looking for botanical study and botanical
expeditions. So, if the study of plants, algae & fungis interest you, then
head to the river with your magnifying glass. Durshet also offers breathtaking
views of the Sahyadri ranges; make sure you have your cameras loaded when you
are here. The best time to visit Durshet would be during the monsoons as the
river is full and the huge natural waterfalls within the forest are at their
best. You can trek to those falls through the mahua, mango and teak trees.
There are many species of birds that live here like the drongos, doves,
parakeets, shrikes, bulbuls, which makes this a hotspot for birdwatchers. Rock
climbing, river crossing and trekking are the other activities one can indulge
in Durshet.
