About Giridih Tourism
The Giridih town is located in the district by the same
name, and it was created from the Hazaribagh district in 1972. The area where
Giridih is located is part of the Chhotanagpur region and is covered with sal
and bamboo trees. Giri means the 'land of hills and hillocks? and
dih means 'upland'. The Giridih district shares boundaries with the districts of Jamui, Nawada,
Deogarh and Jamtara. The famous Parasnath Hills or 'Marang
Buru' is located in this area and thousands of devotees flock to this place to celebrate a
religious festival for three days. The rivers Barakar, Sakri and tributaries of DamodarRiver flow
through the district.The area has rich deposits of mica, coal and other
minerals and mining activities form the backbone of industry here. The unspoiled
