SIGHTSEEING HIGHLIGHTS

Hosur is famous for its Hilltop temple (Chandira Choodeswarar Temple), which looks over the city, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Anchetty forest is another tourist attraction known for its scenic beauty. The ruins of Brett’s Folly, also known as the Kenilworth Castle are a remnant of British Rule in India.

Bose Bazaar

Located between M.G Road and Ramar Kovil Street, this bazaar (market) is where a large number of wholesalers sell their wares.

Uzhavar Sandhai

This is a wholesale market for agricultural produce where farmers directly sell their produce to consumers without the involvement of any middlemen.

Excursions:

Kelavarapalli Reservoir

This reservoir is located 10 km away from Hosur and is home to large flocks of migratory birds. There is a children’s park located near the dam.
