| About Kasauli Tourism |
The beautiful hill retreat of Kasauli is known for its scenic surroundings, typical of Himachal Pradesh,
and its well-kept colonial ambience. Gabled houses, huge colonial
bungalows and quaint shops add to the old-world charm. Cobbled streets
give way to beautiful pine, oak and chestnut forests. The town of Kasuali was developed by the British as a summer hideaway and till date it remains a secluded tourism spot.
Sightseeing:
There isn't much to do or see in Kasauli. Simply soak in the beauty of this hilly paradise. There is a Lower and an Upper Mall which have small shops selling confectionaries and souvenirs. Sleepy town? Not Kasauli.
| Overview of the destinationHighly recommended for those who want to be away from the maddening crowds that seem to throng most locations across India during holidays. Kasauli is Food, sight-seeing and shopping We did not venture much out of our own hotel - Hotel Roscommon as that seemed to be the place that most non-residents seemed to Activities & things to do Nothing much other than walk, walk and walk. Not to forget laze in a hammock under the pine trees with the wind blowing..... with a Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. We travelled from Delhi to Kalka by Shatabdi Exp and back. Hired a local cab to pick us up from Kalka and drop us at |  Gaurav, Jaipur | 23rd August 2008
