Kausani
is located in the picturesque Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand. Situated at
6,075 ft above sea level, this small and peaceful hill-station is known
for its unspoilt natural beauty and 300 km-wide views of the Himalayan
snow-peaks. Very few places in the Himalayas offer such vistas as Kausani. The place also holds importance because Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for a long stretch in 1929.
Sightseeing Highlights:

| Overview of the destinationKAUSANI :
As we reached their by late afternoon, reception and staff was supportive & friendly. Look from back of the dinning area was stunning. Food, sight-seeing and shopping This KMVN guest house is a nice place to be but prior to make COTTAGE reservation which are ideally placed and nicely located & well Activities & things to do But be ready to consume LOTS OF POTATOES while traveling through this beautiful state. Don?t eat non-veg unless you have no option, as we don?t Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. Booking : Can be done at any KMVN office ( We had a very bad experience at MUMBAI KMVN office as they book a car |

 kuasani information reuired | | how far is kausani from delhi? how much time will it take to reach from delhi by own car? if we are ther in last week of october whether we are to carry warm clothing? what is the route we have to take from delhi by road? by train? what packages are offered by hotels in the medium range for a family of three members all adults? | | | Kausani in January | | I am looking for opinions on this trip for mid January.
My family and I are planning to travel from Delhi to Nainital spend 2 or 3 nights there, drive to Kausani for 1 or 2 nights, Ranikhet 1 night, Corbett 3 nights , Haridwar 2 nights and back to Delhi.
We will have a car and driver and we do go skiing in Australia so we are prepared for the cold.
My questions are will the roads be passable from Nainital to Kausani? and should we spend the 3 nights in Nainital and 1 in Kausani or 2 nights each?
Any advice on these areas would be really appreciated.
