Kausani
is located in the picturesque Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand. Situated at
6,075 ft above sea level, this small and peaceful hill-station is known
for its unspoilt natural beauty and 300 km-wide views of the Himalayan
snow-peaks. Very few places in the Himalayas offer such vistas as Kausani. The place also holds importance because Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for a long stretch in 1929.
Sightseeing Highlights:

A himalayan delight!
| Overview of the destinationKausani is a quiet little town in the Kumaon region of Uttaranchal. It offers breath-taking views of the Himalayan range and is a scenic splendour. Food, sight-seeing and shopping There isn't much sightseeing to do here. The Anashakti Ashram, where Gandhiji spent a few days, is open for public. It is a historic monument Activities & things to do The only activity suggested is relaxing and resting. Doing anything other than healing your body and soul while taking in the majestic splendours of the Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. We visited Kausani from Nainital and it was a four hour drive through pleasant roads.
