About Koderma Tourism
The scenic town of Koderma is situated in
the Koderma district of the Jharkhand state in Chotanagpur plateau. The
district was created in 1994, from the larger Hazaribagh district. It shares
its borders with Nawada and Gayadistricts of Bihar on the north while Giridh and Hazaribagh districts
on the east and south. The panoramic city and
suburbs are rich in mineral resources and known as 'Abharkh Nagari' or MicaCity.
It was known as the mica capital in the past and even today mining work takes
place on a large scale. Due to intense mining activities, Koderma is a hub of
commercial activities and trading infrastructure. However, a large portion of
the region including the suburbs remain steeped in natural vegetation and
forest tracks, home to numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Increasing tourist
related developments and activities have thrust Koderma into the limelight.
Slowly but steadily, Koderma is now known for the scenic landscapes, innumerable
varieties of flora and fauna and adventure sports.
