| About Kollur Tourism |
Located near Kundapur and about 140 km from Mangalore in Karnataka, Kollur is an important pilgrim place for Hindus. Kollur is believed to be one of the seven pilgrim centres created by Parashurama, a Hindu mythological figure. Kollur is also known for having the oldest and the deepest gold mines in the country.
Sightseeing Highlights:
The Mookambika temple,
situated on the banks of River Sauparnika, is the main attraction with
lakhs of visitors visiting it. It is considered as one of the seven
most sacred spots of the coastal region. Kollur is also a popular destination for rock climbers and trekkers at the Kodachadri ranges.

I am sure all of you would love to go backwards wrt. to stress and lifestyle and come close to nature. Ramachandrapura Mutt Food, sight-seeing and shopping RC Mutt provides food and accommodation (better to keep them informed)
MUST SEE: Cows and bullocks
Shopping: Mostly artefact's (devotional/spiritual) Activities & things to do Visit MUTT, Goshala (cow-shed), religious discourses (if lucky), meditation etc.. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. Own means of transport ideal.
Travel from Kollur would be ideal with a wonderful picturesque uphill (2 hrs. from Kollur, by car).
