About Kudremukh Tourism
Kudremukh is a hill station overlooking the Arabian Sea, 1,894 meters above sea level and surrounded by mountain ranges, in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. The attractive horse face shaped peak after which the place is named (Kudremukh means horse face in Kanadda) is home to the largest reserve of tropical evergreen forests in Karnataka. Retaining its natural beauty, with pristine grassy slopes, lush green forests and flowing streams, Kudremukh
is untouched and unspoiled by tourists. You can enjoy trekking through
the forests, sighting birds and wildlife. In spite of the modern
township set up by the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company, it has been able to retain its scenic beauty.
