| About Kumbhalgarh Tourism |
This formidable medieval citadel was virtually inaccessible in the 15th century. According to folklore, the fort fell just once when the water of Kumbalgarh
was poisoned by the enemies. Built by Rana Kumbha of Mewar, it stands
on a 3,500 ft high hill overlooking the dusty plains of Mewar and the
rugged Aravali range. Considered only second longest after the Great Wall of China, the imposing fortress ramparts or walls extend up to 36 Km in length. Kumbalgarh is located in southern Rajasthan and is easily accessible from Udaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Pushkar. It was the second most important fort in Rajasthan after Chittorgarh.

kumbhalgarh nice place to visit
| Overview of the destinationKumbhalgarh is a very nice place to visit. Fort lighting at night is excellent. Jungle safari is not so worth only if you can Food, sight-seeing and shopping If you are staying at Club Mahindra resort and being a member then food is good but its a bit costly but your stay in Activities & things to do You can do jungle safari and visit fort there. Also Ranakpur temple is 60 kms from Kumbhalgarh. You can also do jungle safari early in Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. By Udaipur and via Nathdawara also. Udaipur ( Sukhadia circle to Fathehpur Choraya. Go for 100 mtr straight and then left turn for Iswal, Losing, | VS, Baroda | 11th January 2008
