Sightseeing Highlights:
One could spend time strolling along the seashore and exploring fishing villages. Though the place has a number of sandy beaches, it is not safe for swimming because of the strong currents and shifting sands. However sunbathing and beach picnics are a popular activity here.
There is a small Portuguese church, which even though is not fully restored, is a place worth visiting.

One can have picnics or play sports on the beaches. This place is also quite popular with film companies and often has film shoots happening. Madh Island is a small island off the coast of Juhu, in the picturesque rural area of Mumbai's northwestern coast. It can be accessed from Mumbai
by road or by ferry from the jetties from two places Gateway of India
and Versova. It is considered a quick, peaceful and inexpensive getaway
from the maddening crowds of the city. Madh Island was once a separate island but with the growth of Mumbai city, it is considered a suburb today. There are a number of resorts and bungalows, and spots for picnics.
