| About Mandi Tourism |
Originally called Mandav Nagar named after a Great Sage Mandav, Mandi is a city and a district in Himachal Pradesh. Located on the riverbanks of Beas, it's an important commercial center and known for the many old temples. Infact it has been called the 'Varanasi of Hills'. Mandi is also the gateway to many important tourism destinations in Himachal Pradesh, the most important being Kullu-Manali.
Sightseeing Highlights:
Mandi has around 300 temples,
with 81 stone temples known for their intricate carvings. Most of these
