| About Mysore Tourism |

The City of Palaces, and an erstwhile capital of the Wodeyar Dynasty, Mysore is the second largest City of Karnataka, and also its cultural capital. The word Mysore
is derived from Mahishuru or Mahishasura, the name of the cruel demon
king who is believed to have had his base there. He was ultimately
slain by the Goddess Durga (also known as Mahishasura Mardhini, or the
slayer of the demon Mahisha). The festival of Navrathri culminating in
Dusserah is celebrated to mark the 10-day battle followed by the
victory of good over evil.

Suggest a place plz | | Hello, I am planning to go to Mysore Infosys Training center. I am going to stay in Mysore for same purpose. I want such a destinationwhich is affordable and offering not luxury but at least well to do service. Most of my time will be spent outside. So its my appeal to you friends to suggest a place which suits to this situation. A thing in mind, transportayion should also be convenient.
My budget is from 500 to 750 a day.
