About Ooty Tourism

Ooty short for Ootacamund or Udhagamandalam is perhaps one of South India's most popular hill stations, situated in the Nilgiri Hills at an altitude of 2,240 mts. Spread out along a high plateau, Ooty is set among the Nilgiris or Blue Mountains, covered with green forests and valleys, tea plantations, streams and mountains. The term Nilgiri came about because of the blue haze which the hills seem to be enveloped in, and Ooty is one of the best places to experience this sight.Apart from the thriving tourism industry the hill town also thrives on the oil extraction industry, primarily from its eucalyptus trees, and others like lemon grass, geranium, clove and camphor. The district on the whole, gets its main income from the tea industry, and an important annual Tea and Tourism festival is held at Ooty every year. One of the most charming ways to get to Ooty is by the mountain railway that chugs its way up the hill-side and lets you take in all the

Hello Can anyone suggest some accommodation in Masinagudi, please do include web links thanks in advance Karthikeyan
Hi, I want to know what is the best time of the year to visit Tamil Nadu ? thx
folks, i found strange issue with Kluney Manor. i booked for 2 cottages for my family for 17th May. i got reservation confirmation email from them and also showed up as confirmed reservation in their site . shockingly, we just called up and asked about route details etc and they said we don't have reservation. i was totally shocked and after about making 10 calls to the hotel past 2-3 days we have given up . they themselves say their reservation system is hosed and already they are booked for 2 months.. just wanted to know if anyone else also faced this problem.. be careful. i suspect there is something fishy..
