| About Pahalgam Tourism |
Pahalgam
is a mountain paradise tucked away amidst dense forests of pine, cedar,
and deodars, and surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. It is the
starting point for the annual pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra. Situated at
an altitude of 2,133 m, the town is at the confluence of the Aru and
Sheshnag rivers. It is a charming hill station ideal for summer
vacations and is the base for many treks to Kishtwar and Suru Valley. (None of these are advisable now due to the security problem).

| Overview of the destinationThe destination is worth visiting. One should really visit this place at least once in life. Food, sight-seeing and shopping The whole valley itself is so beautiful that you don't need to go to particular places for the sight seeing. Go out any where and Activities & things to do Just try to realise how God made this place. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. Stay in Anantnag town. you can reach easily to pahalgam. |
