Virupaksha Temple is the main attraction and is known for its grace and delicate details. There is the Mallikarjuna Temple, next to the Virupaksha Temple, which is almost identical in design. The oldest of the temples in Pattadakal is the Sangamesvara Temple.Some of the other temples here are the Galaganatha, Chandrashekara, Sangameshwara, Jambulinga, and Kadasiddheshwara temples. Tourists can also visit the Papanatha temple, which has a different style and Vimanam temple which is decorated with scenes from the Ramayana. Pattadakal has also a Jain temple of Rashtrakuta times.
