About Surendranagar Tourism
Surendranagar is the main city of Surendranagar
district and is known as the gateway to Saurashtra. Also called Wadhwan
city, it is now a major trade and processing centre. Situated on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad main route, Surendranagar was a princely state before Independence and was built by Maharaja Surendrasinh after whom it was named. The town is located on the banks of river Bhogavo.
