About Theni Tourism
Theni is the centre of Theni district in Tamil Nadu
and is famous for both its scenic topography and as a pilgrimage
centre. It is located at a distance of around 500 km from Chennai. Theni is also considered a transit point and a gateway to Kodaikanal, Thekkady and Munnar. This place is known for its many dams, waterfalls and antique temples and is surrounded by the Western Ghats, with vast tracts of green cultivated areas and tea gardens.

A must see is the village of Andipatti, which is an important centre of Tamilian culture and is known for its handicrafts and handlooms.
