| About Vengurla Tourism |
Located about 5 km from Vengurla town, Vengurla beach is situated in Sindhudurg
district and on the Konkan coast. It has a long history as a busy port
town since early times and was a center of maritime trade and business.
This small town has a beautiful coastline, natural beauty, good
beaches, as well as a rich culture and heritage. Vengurla is also famous for its shimmering sands and thick cashew, coconut, jackfruit and mango groves.
Sightseeing Highlights:
Besides the beach, it has two famous temples, the Shri Devi Sateri temple and the Rameshwar temple. A short distance from the beach lies the Vengurla Rocks, also known as the Burnt Islands. Other attractions are the Old Vengurla port and the lighthouse. There are some other quiet beaches and temples in the vicinity that one can visit. |
