Sightseeing Highlights:
Explore the Warangal fort, which is a massive construction, though a large part of it is in ruins today. There is also a Shiva temple in the centre of the fort.
The other highlights include the Bhadrakali temple, Musical Garden, Padmakshi Temple, Ghanpur temples. About 60 km northeast is the intricately carved and attractive Ramappa temple. A little away is the 1000-pillared temple at Hanamkonda, which represents fine Chalukyan architecture. There is also a 2000-year-old Jain temple, which has the images of the Thirthankaras.
The Eturnagaram Sanctuary (100km away) is one of the oldest sanctuaries in Andhra Pradesh where you can see tiger, leopard, wild dog, sloth bear, chousingha, black buck, nilgai, sambar, spotted deer, chinkara, giant squirrel and many species of birds.

You can shop for handicraft items made of sheet metal craft such as pandas (boxes for carrying betel nut), Ittar pots (scent containers), etc.
One could also visit Empathy village some 50 km away on the road to Hyderabad, which is famous for its brass artifacts.
Art lovers can pick up the Cheriyal Scroll Paintings from the Cherial village 30 km from Jangoan in the Warangal District.
