| About Yuksam Tourism |
Yuksam often known as the gateway to Ney-Pemathang or
mystical Shangri-La is situated just 35 km. from Pelling in the Western
district of Sikkim. Nestled at the base of Mt.
Kanchendzonga amidst oak, birch and
rhododendron forests, it shares its borders with Kanchendzonga
National Park which is the largest
sanctuary in Sikkim.
Steeped in rich historical and cultural diversity, Yuksam also means ?the
meeting place of three lamas?.
According to legends, three lamas came from different
places and consecrated the Chogyala King in 1600s here.

One Day in Yuksom is not Enough
