Alandi is a hamlet, located on the banks of the River Indrayani. Alandi is well known for housing the Samadhi of the Sant Dhyaneshwar. At the Sant Dhyaneswar Mandir, a lot of varkaris or hindu devotees, gather for the annual Palkhi festival in the month of Ashadh. Alandi holds fairs twice a year i.e on kartik ekadashi and ashadhi ekadashi, which draw a lot of tourists.
Besides, there are other temples such as Vitthal-Rakhumai temple, Jalasan Baba temple, Muktai temple, etc which have thousands of visitors throughout the year.
Most of the activities that go on in Alandi are religious and people come from different parts of Maharashtra as well as India. Many rituals like annual marriages and kirtans are organized in these temples.
Pundalik Mandir, Ram Mandir, Samadhi Mandir, etc are some of the other temples of religious significance in the area. Dehu village, near Alandi is one of the religious places where Sant Tukaram lived and is revered by the people.
