Allahabad Experience: Superb! Nice experience feel like visiting again. I would like to roam highcourt from inside and to know about their speciality.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Nice combination of north and south indian food.

Activities & things to do: Feel like to swimming in holy rivers.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Traveler should appoint guide who know the depth about the history of Allahabad.

"Ganga view and sacredness"

Allahabad Experience: We went during Kumbhmela and we enjoyed our stay and holy bath. The arrangements were done very well by the govt and it was a commendable job by the govt.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food was good and the simple food of UP was very delicious and tasty.

Activities & things to do: Mostly spent time near Ganga and went round the city. It was clean and well maintained.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: There was no problem in the city. Well connected and easy to reach from anywhere in the country.

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad is a holy city known for Kumbh Mela. It is surrounded by good roads not as broad as in Delhi, not as dirty as in Varanasi not as filled of dirt as in Agra. City is cool and calm since not a political and economical city of UP. People of western UP fight a lot on tiny things and spend their life long earning in Allahabad high court.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Market is decent, food is good.

Activities & things to do: Baring high court, Allahabad couldn\'t perform his duties to generate job opportunities for UP.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Good acceptability from any part of UP and Delhi.

Allahabad Experience: allahabad is a holy place rather than a site seeeing destination.so if go there without work just for holidays u will spoil ur holidays

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad is a city which touch deeply 2 my heart.especially SANGAM and ANAND BHAVAN.must go,and whenever i have time i will go again.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Seight seeing SANGAM DARSHAN,ANAND BHAVAN and many thing 2 see,ur eyes will love 2 see....,shopping malls PVR,BIG BAZAAR and SPENCER is available,foodin is good elchico,rajdhani,mac donalds,spicy bite etc.various types of good fooding is there.

Activities & things to do: Not much more but hn PVR u will got time spend and fun activity 4 kids.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Nothing special 4 safety as always some thefts and beggers are in every city,so this is 2 keep in mind.Indian railway is easily available from each and every city of INDIA

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad is a good palce it is located near ganga rever Allahabad is famous for ganga rever and there is a lot of temples

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There food and shopping hall loacated at civil lines areas There food cost is very low and best qulity food products are abiliable PVR Shopping Mall IS big Shopping mall AT ALLAHABAD

Activities & things to do: Swimming, & looking historical places

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: ALL Means of commute are in Allahabad like Train, Bus, Auto , Rickshaw, Air etc. at lower rate.

"My trip to allahabad"

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad was very dirty and crowded .No proper traffic control and hence traffic jams every where.Transport was horrible with no city bus service and hence at the mercy of rickshaw and autowallas.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Triveni sangam and Nehru Musuem.

Activities & things to do: Take at dip at Sangam

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Bargain hard for every thing at Sangam right from engaing a boat to performing puja. Dont offer cocunuts during puja since these are recycled again after throwing them into river.

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad is a good Piligrim place and must to visit it atleast once in life time. The city is not clean.

Allahabad Experience: Destination - Allahabad was good .. Filled with Lots of Good Memories of the Maha Kumbh Experience and a cool Climate

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight Seeing was pleasant to eyes over there. Shopping was Also Convincingly good

Allahabad Experience: Overnight stay in Allahbad for Kumbh. We came, through great difficulty.. therough the barricaded roads, we saw the sangam along thousand others.. and we conquered!

Allahabad Experience: I really enjoyed the Kumbha.. I must acknowledge and thank general public of Allahabad for the warmth.and their selfless efforts to feed the pilgrims on the day of Mouni Amavasya. I was astonished to see that Pilgrims were being asked with folded hands to take the Food stuffs free from the counters lined up en-route to Kumbha mela on the day of Mouni Amavasya, when more than 3 Crores devotees were present at Allahabad.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: During Kumbha Mela Enjoy the Food served by Voluntary organizations.. they serve food free well cooked fresh with lots of Love and devotions an experience I will not forget rest of my life.. Thank u... Allahabad..!!!

Activities & things to do: Must visit Kumbha Mela..Well organized..

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad is holy city, its pleased to visit that. I found one issue in Allahabad there is no private taxi can be hired but local fare is bit low.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was much better and Ganga, Yamuna Ghat visit are nice.

Activities & things to do: No comments

Allahabad Experience: It was good really good to visit Khumbh mela so many people were gathered for this holy place.

Activities & things to do: You can shop there so much traditional cloth.

Allahabad Experience: Allahabad is a nice, good and holy place to visit . It has a mixture of lot of traditions, especially the Akbar kota and the Triveni Sangam .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is little bit costly.

"Triveni Sangam Allahabad"

Allahabad Experience: A must visit place for all Hindus. The sangam is the confluence of three holy rivers. Triveni is situated 6 kms away from the main city. The main mode of transport is auto rickshaw. a return trip from main city plus waiting time was 200 rupees. Once at the ghat get ready to be swamped by beggers, petty sellers selling flowers, prasad etc. The main scam of the area however is the boat ride to Sangam. Sangam is about 10 min boat ride from the bank. The boats may ask for 3000 for a private visit with arrangement for pooja and bath at the Sangam. We paid 1000 after some negotiation. The roads to Triveni are bad and broken in places. On the bank of the river is the majestic fort of King Ashoka. Also visit the Hanuman temple near the fort. It claims to have the only idol of the 'Monkey God' in lying down position.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Do not expect good eating options here. You need to head back to town for that. Places to see is the Prayag Sangam, situated at the confluence of the rivers Ganga and Yamuna. Check out the color difference of both water bodies. Also worth seeing is the Ashoka Fort and a Hanuman temple.

Activities & things to do: Take boat ride to Triveni and take holy dip.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take auto from city and ask him to wait. Bargain hard for the boat ride. Share rides are cheaper.

"Open invitation for Khumb"

Allahabad Experience: Once in 12 years event held at this religious city. Dont miss this oppurtunity when this city turns like vatican city for Hinduism religion followers. Scientifically proven that historically there existed a river by name Saraswati which has become extinct. This city is known as Triveni sangam ( Tri junction of three pious rivers namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati). The Khumb mela event starts from 15 Jan 2012 and continues for a month.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Try Choka-bati, which is a dish of roasted wheat dumpling along with spicy mashed Potato salad. Goes well with topping of dhesi ghee providing good aroma and rich calorie. Several historical sights in the vicinity and religious sights too.

Activities & things to do: Have a holy dip and enjoy staying in the tents attending special discourses by Hindu saints who travel all the way from the hill tops of Himalayan peaks after penance for this holy month. Enjoy learning 'yoga' for leading a healthy life.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Carry sufficient warm clothings, especially persons from tropical climate regions. Try to avoid crowded places on bathing days ( full moon day and new moon day).

"Allahabad in one day"

Allahabad Experience: All that is there to see in Allahabad can be done in one day. I donot recommend spending more than a day there.It is a must see place for al the Hindus.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Number of good places to eat. However, if you are a tippler, finding a decent place can be a problem. UP is the cheapest place for tippler.

Activities & things to do: Must go to Sangam; and Anand Bhavan and Chandrashekar Azad Park. The High court is famous and a monumental building.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Brave through the fleecing by pandas.Consider it a legitimate payout and you will not feel bad about it. Perform rituals, if you must. Outside Pandas not allowed. The local mafia rules!!

"Sangam tour"

Allahabad Experience: The place of Varanasi has almost very famous for its pilgrimage rituals.Its a good place to know North indians veyr closely.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Favorite food items were only parotas in the same hotel,River Sangam was good.

Activities & things to do: Not Much.
