About Arambol Tourism
Arambol Village is situated in Pernem Taluk of North Goa District in the state of Goa. This village is located around 8.85 km from the main town of Pernem and is situated approximately 35.06 km from the state capital of Panaji. It is a secluded place which is a dwelling area of hundreds of fishermen.

It is one of the important beaches in Goa, surrounded by the Arambol village which is famous for its typical Goan culture and hospitality. Local inhabitants in Arambol include Hindus, Christians and few Muslims. The long stretch of golden sands interspersed with rocky cliffs make this beach beautiful.

Arambol has two main beaches, one is the Harmal Beach, which is situated in the northernmost region of Goa and the other is located at a walking distance from the village. The Harmal Beach is around 200 metres long and is suitable for gliding. Facilities are also available at this beach for training and tandem flights.

These beaches are peaceful and quite on all days, except Sundays, when several tourists and local picnickers gather here for beach activities. The palm trees, the golden stretch of sand and fresh water pools are some of the main highlights of the beaches in Arambol.

Just behind the second beach, there is a small freshwater lake, which extends from the bottom of the valley, leading to a dense forest. Arambol was once the most backward village in terms of economy, as farming and horticulture were the two main occupations practised here. However, at present, Arambol is a famous tourist destination which has many Punjabi restaurants and fast food joints, Kashmiri shops and Maharashtrian shopping stalls.

There are some famous budget hotels here which stay crowded in October. Arambol Beach is a popular place for paragliding and is home to dolphins. The best time to visit this destination is from October through June.

"Arambol - Not recommended" new review

Arambol Experience: Armabol beach is located in the northern most part of Goa at a distance of around 40 kms from Panaji. Its mainly crowded with foreign tourists. Not a great place to be as its quite filthy. When we visited in September last week, it was full of dirty dogs. Also, parking is a problem as its a very narrow lane which leads to the beach. Overall I would not recommend a visit to Arambol.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Nothing much to do. Dirty eateries and restaurant are there but we didnt try any.
Activities & things to do: You may just stroll for a while but will rush back soon.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You may take a bike from Panaji. Its at 40-45 kms from Panaji and it takes around 40 mins from main Panaji city to reach there. Enroute you will find Calangute, Baga, Anjuna villages.

Tourist places in Arambol

Situated along the coastal belts of Konkan, Arambol is popularly known as a beach paradise. This destination is mostly visited by tourists for exploring the untouched and beautiful beaches like Arambol Beach, Kalacha Beach and Querim Beach. Often known as the Harmal Beach, Arambol Beach is the main beach of the place. A narrow path from this beach leads to Kalacha Beach that is famous for its sweet water lake.

Tourists can visit the Querim Beach, which is famed for being one of the steepest slope beaches in Goa. Close to this beach is the Terekhol Fort, which was originally a Portuguese Fort. This fort houses a church, which is open for public only for annual feast. Another popular sightseeing attraction in Arambol is the Freshwater Lake, which is believed to have curative properties.
