Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: Baroda is historical place, the seat of erstwhile king Gaekwad. the king contributed to the city by giving it school, college and univerisity. the palace and musium must be visited to understand the history of the city

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: S Cube Water Park is newly developed water park Just Opposite to famous Vrundavan Garden, Ajwa Vadodara. Ambiance of the park is very good. One can happily spend full day at S Cube Water Park & Gujarat Funworld

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food Island at S Cube Water Park & Gujarat Fun world offers Punjabi, Chinese, Continental, South Indian & Chat items....!! Quality of food is really good.

Activities & things to do: One can have a Water Park attractions..like.Wave pool, Slides for Family, Runner slides, Cyclone & Boomrangoo slides for young riders who prefer high thrill. Specially devloped Children Pool with many slides in it. You can also enjoy dry Amusement rides at Gujarat Funworld.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Syyaji gayakwad palace is very good place to visit.

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: The Laxmi vilas palace is definately worth a vist . it is a masterpiece. Champaner about 80 km away tragic that it is neither advertised nor maintained as another real jewel of the past . it was realy depressing to see some parts of it being vandalised by photo happy Gujarathis to have climbing centuries old structures , in the bargain destroying them . we indians are blind we do not respect our past heritage.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: the mutton siek kababbs just 50 m down the street for ginger hotel , were by far the best i have ever eaten , a big bundle full for 50 bucks , unbeliveble both for taste and price

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We were driving form Goa to Gir, so after an overningt at mumbai , we stopped at vadodara, took 5 hours from mumbai , excelent roads .

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: A place not to be missed if you are a history buff. the museums and the Gaekwad Palace not to be missed. the zoo could have been better maintained but worth the trip.

Activities & things to do: Palace, Museum, Park, Zoo are good to visit. So are Mahadev temple & Dakor.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Well connected by rail from Mumbai. There are many trains but most are almost always full. So need to plan well in advance.

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: Good for a day, to relax (maybe), for people from the nearby cities. But not worth putting your money. Costly for the facilities provided.

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: Very nice and discipline city and ongoing city to develop. After 4-5 years it will be more attractive place.

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: Baroda is a small well designed town. Our hotel was located opposite the beautiful Sayaji Baug and Baroda Museum. The University is also near by. The roads are well laid out, and there are a large number of good eating joints too. People are friendly .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The Laxmi Vilas Palace,Baroda Museum & Art Gallery are a must see. Ice Cream at 'Dairy Den' not to be missed. There is also Raju's Omelette Center for non-veg folk. Baroda Block Prints are a good buy, but check the length of the material before buying.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The Expressway connecting Baroda & Ahmedabad is a delight. The drive is an excellent experience. Baroda is well connected by Air/Rail/Road.

Baroda(Vadodara) Experience: A hill with swiss ropeway gondola taking you all safely up 1000 meters is just an hour away from vadodara the city of vads - banyan trees. Gujarat's favourite hill abode after Ambaji abu is here. Divine forests around the hill with a great Jambughoda sanctuary as its backdrop Pavagadh is an after noon trip for barodians and their guests. A superhighway toll road 40 min drive and you have even the heritage site Champaner at your eye sight. Trek up, stay on mountains or rest houses to see meteoric showers or enjoy rain .The forests surrounding this hill is doted with ponds and wildlife.

Activities & things to do: sit, relax, climb a hill or a trek or appreciate the 500 year old city fort. and more forest around jambughoda 25 kms behind the hill.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: reach baroda and drive on halol tolol road and straight to Pavagadh in 40 minutes. stay at Gujarat tourism rest houses or many other facililities. at jambughoda saty at Palace right in center of forest or kada dam forest rest house.
