"wonderful getaway near Bangalore" new review

Bheemeshwari Experience: Very Good! Quiet and tranquil envi. The loghuts were well kept with clean linen. It was a experience to just sit on the verandah & look out at the river. The manager was very attentive & the staff very co-operative. lots to eat in the buffets & the barbeque. Staff were kind to carry the lugguage in the jeep as well as a few of us who had difficulty walking.Coracle ride was fun where we saw a spotted deer & the adventure games were a good experience. kids enjoyed the net-climbing, swings & hammock outside the loghut.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: everything at JLR
Activities & things to do: Adventure rides, coracle ride, rope climbing etc
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take kanakpura road from Bangalore to reach there.

"A very nice experience of Cauvery fishing camp in Bheemeshwari"

Bheemeshwari Experience: Nice resort on the bay of Cauvery river ... Ahh .. Loved it. Take a 1 night stay package and enjoy the nature, take part in activities. Best one is the kayaking. Try to book Log hut as it is closer to dining area and river bank...
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is good ( Dont compare with Luxury resort) in jungle resort. Kayaking for 6 Km was the best experience I had there. Go for a coracle ride and enjoy .. Get a chance to meet crocodiles taking rest on the Rocks. Go for nature walk and trekking .. I loved that as it was my first experience of trekking. Bon fire with Barbeque Chicken and Beer .. deadly combination ... I loved this place ....
Activities & things to do: Coracle ride Kayaking for 6 km with extra cost Obstacles ... Some rope flying sort of ... Joy fishing ( Not that good .. i mean bad luck for me ;) ) Trekking Rafting (seaonal, after August available)
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: 100 Km from Bangalore... If you dont know swimming , don't go for Rafting Can go for Kayaking with experts. Tented cottage is bit hot , try to take the log Hut.

"Picture perfect place"

Bheemeshwari Experience: Bheemeshwari is a place which looks like a picture painted by a kid, Nice green mountains & clouds in the sky & the the river cauvery flowing by is just what we needed to chill out on a sunny sunday. Our team of five which includes my finace, me & my three friends wanted to get out of bangalore for a day to a nice cool place & we zeroed on bheemeshwari, this place is 2kms away from Mutati which is a forest range with mountains spread all around. We started from banaglore at 7.00 in the morning and reached bheemeshwari at 11.30, it usuall takes just 1hr 30 mins, since we had a flat tyre, had to get that patched up. We parked our vehicle close by to the cauvery fishing camp in bheemeshwari & trekked for about 1km to reach the river side, we spent arong 3-4 hrs in the water & started to unwrap the food covers that we had carried, since it was summer we had carried lots of oranges & cucumber & ate to our hearts content, we got out of water & started cooking our food which was ready to eat noodles but please make your own fire ;), it was really adventurous to cook but please do not litter, carry your waste back. We had a nap for a short time & around 5 we made our coffee with the hlp of river water & some milk powder, sugar & nescafe, after this we headed back to banaglore & on our way back we had a chance to see the spectacular sunset.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: To reach bheemeshwari you have to cross Mutati which is also a famous tourist destination but if you are looking for privacy & cleanliness then ignore mutati & head forward to bheemeshwari, carry your own food as apart from small hotels at mutati there are absolutely no hotels or shops in bheemeshwari.
Activities & things to do: Trekking on the hills & soaking your self in the river are the only activites at bheemeshwari, this place is ideal just for a day out. I would like to warn you people that the current of the river is very high, so kindly take care of yourself & your family, do not venture too deep into the river, there are chances of finding few crocodiles & wild elephants, so do not venture deep into the jungle or river.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Bangalore take the Kanakapura road, reach kanakapur & head towards sathnur, in sathnur take left towards mutati. From mutati take the road which leads to cauvery fishing camp, this enitre strech is called bheemeshwari.
