"Visit to white desert" new review

Bhuj Experience: From Bhuj you can go many places such as Great Runn of Kutch ( White desert), Lakhpat, Sir Crrek, Koteshwar (Last most western point of India), Mandavi sea beach and Bhuj King Palace. Good place to stay and enjoy for 3 days
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is mostly vegetarian. But you can get non veg food in selected hotels in Bhuj. No alcohol in Gujarat including Bhuj.
Activities & things to do: You can also go to Narayan Sarovar and Ashapurna Devi mandir while going to Lakhpat.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: To reach Bhuj from Mumbai there is Mumbai- Bhuj flight. You can come from Mumbai to Bhuj via train also. For Delhi or people from north or east, best way to come to Ahmedabad and then go via rail or road. It is better to go during winter. Summer is quite hot.

"Beautiful Bhuj"

Bhuj Experience: The seat of Indian handicrafts and textiles, prints and wonderful, charming, friendly people add to the charm of the place. It is difficult to believe that Bhuj suffered from a devastating earthquake not so long ago. The town has many hotels to fit every budget. It is a quaint little town within motor-able distance from many destinations.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The yummy Gujrati thaali.
Activities & things to do: Visiting the villages around for wonderful handicrafts and textiles
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Visit only in winters because the temperatures can be very very high

"Splendid place to explore Kutchh"

Bhuj Experience: It was one of the best vacations I had as we got the comforts of Urban stay while in Bhuj but at the same time explored whole of Kutchh including Dholavira.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: A little problem as far as food is concerned. I would advise to carry good stock of your favorite food. Best restaurant is Sham-E-Sarhad which serves country type food and have local decor.
Activities & things to do: Going to the Ranotsav camp is a must along with Kalo Dungar, White Desert and Border. Sight seeing in Bhuj may be a bit boring but still not worth omitting. Whole of Kutchh is very good shopping destination for handicraft lovers.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: In-spite of being very remote one should not miss visit to Dholaveera. While going from Ahmedabad you can first visit Dholaveera and reach Bhuj by night if you have started as early as 5.00 in the morning. You might happen to watch big colonies of Flamingos on the way.

"Ordinary destination"

Bhuj Experience: Visited Bhuj, Rann of Katch, Narayan Sarovar and Mandvi in Dec 2012. All these locations are situated at 60 KM from Bhuj (except Narayan Sarovar - 120 KM). Bhuj has two Mahals - Prag and Aina & Mandvi has one - Vijayvilas Palace. Not much to see in these Palaces. Vijayvilas Palace has mostly pictures of rulers inside the palace. Narayan Sarovar & Vijayvilas palace are big disappointments.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal, KutchMuseum, Kalo Dungar and Mandvi beach.
Activities & things to do: None
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: None

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is Honest, U.S. pizza, Sankalp and other famous restaurants which you can find in ahmedabad.
Activities & things to do: Visit to White Desert and Kalo Dungar, Mandvi Beach, etc.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: U can reach by road trip, railways or airways.

"Nice place."

Bhuj Experience: Plenty to see and awesome places to visit. Due to time limitation missed out some of the spots so will visit again.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Shopping was bad the rates were hiked, food was good.
Activities & things to do: Did'nt have time for any activity except sightseeing.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: For people wanting to see Dholavira a sign should be put on the highway for the turning, so that one can visit it before going to Bhuj. We went by road and it was a lovely journey cause the roads are super and we did'nt get lost anywhere.

"Real Value for Money"

Bhuj Experience: I was delighted with my visit to Kutch. Its a beautiful place and the people are most friendly, helpful & welcoming. The roads are superb, even those connecting obscure villages! The experience at the White Desert in the Great Rann left me amazed at the beauty of our country!!
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: One must visit Aina Mahal and Swaminarain Temple in Bhuj. Also trips to Lakhpat/Koteshwar/Narayan Sarovar and Dhordo/KaloDungar/Khavda are a must. If you are fond of good non-veg food do eat at Noorani Mahal:amazing prices too!! For Katchi food: Kisan Lodge is a must. For embroidered material: Bhujodi village & For Block printing:Ajrakhpur nearby.
Activities & things to do: Outings to the Great Rann of Kutch. Relishing good food at eateries mentioned above.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Bhuj has a railhead and an airport, though we drove from Indore, which made it easier and convenient to extensively cover the whole of Kutch! One needs prior police permits to visit The Great Rann. These are easily and quickly made available.

"A very pleasant experience"

Bhuj Experience: Bhuj is a town with some character. Its inhabitants are friendly and helpful; among the nicest people I've met on my travels.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Aina Mahal, Parag Palace and a Swaminarayan temple Food is tasty but very hot. Noorani Mahal is a good place for non-veg. dishes. Street food like pakodas, fried chicken, boiled eggs, etc. is also available. The pakwans at Kandoi Velji Kara are worth trying. Embroidered articles and tie-and-dye fabrics are good buys.
Activities & things to do: Mainly sight-seeing, eating and shopping.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Best way is to drive there as the roads in Gujarat are excellent.
