 Regarding Car rental
| | Hi all,
My family and I (5 people) have planned a trip to Chikhaldara for the next week. We would be reaching there from Amravati station. Can anyone provide me with information regarding renting of cars there. Preferably Tavera or Qualis.
Specifically for:
1) Amravati station to Satpura resort, where we are planning to stay, and the return journey when we are leaving.
2) Sight-seeing around Chikhaldara.
I would like to know if we need to book cars in advance or there will be options available when we reach there. Also, if anyone can guide me regarding the fare / rental charges, like fixed amount per day and fuel charges, that would be very much appreciated.

Pune to Chikhaldara (Melghat) in Dec 2011
| | Visiting Chikhaldara for 4 days in the last week of December. Wanted to know few things.
As we are traveling by road (car), what should be the preferred route considering road conditions?
1. Pune-Aurangabad-Khamgaon-Shegaon-Paratwada-Chikhaldara
2. Pune-Aurangabad-Khamgaon-Murtajapur-Amaravati-Chikhaldara
3, or any other route?
We would be staying at MTDC resort (already booked); do they allow campfires, and also provide guides for Melghat jungle safaris?
What are the places around that the kids (8-10 yr. old) would enjoy most? Can we trek in the jungle?
Anybody else from Pune visiting this place at the same time along with the family?

Please tell me is it true you might get to see tigers in Chikhaldara?I know it depends on luck,but how often does somebody get to see a tiger there?Would love to go there for a vacation.What are the other tourist attractions here? | | |
