Chikmagalur Experience: Though homestay was very bad, place was awesome.. Mullayangiri was amazing.. Romantic too .. That too on a bike going to dat peak was an awesome experience..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Attraction was one n only mullayangiri.. Even other places re good .. But you better go to a homestay where in they provide guide ..

Chikmagalur Experience: chikmagalur climate is cool, visiting in summer is best. sight seeings are Baba budangiri, Mullaiana giri & kemangundi. we can taste best coffee.

"Chikmagalur, a tourist spot?"

Chikmagalur Experience: A peaceful town, with a lot of places to stay incl homestays and a no of restaurants. Temp were really high for a hilly place even at Mulliangiri and Baba budan giri peaks.Serves as a common gateway for Shringeri, Kalasa, Horanadu, Kudremukh, Dharmasala,etc mainly connected thro ghats which are picturesque and beautiful

Activities & things to do: Better stay in homestays which have locations in the hills and move around in a leisurely manner with more time at your disposal, if you plan to drive on your own, which is the best way to avoid risks on the road

Chikmagalur Experience: places are awesome and pretty. but at that time the hill road is under construction so we couldn't make to some places.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food is ok, sight-seeing is super and not much interesting about doing shopping in those places

Chikmagalur Experience: This is in a remote location where you do not have any access till 10 kms around you .Even in case of any heath problem you should be dependent on those people only.Very Expensive where the rates given are for per day but charged are per person where you cannot do anything

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food you get it only two times ie., in the Morning a nd in the evening where in the lunch you need to travel for more than 10kms

Chikmagalur Experience: The overall experience was very good. The place is quiet and beautiful, away from the main market place, up on a small hill.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is excellent. Since Chikmagalur is a small place there is not much of a shopping choice but is an ideal place for lazing and sight seeing.

Activities & things to do: Trekking, bicycling.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You can take a bus/taxi from Bangalore to Chikmagalur, it is only 270 kms from there.

Chikmagalur Experience: Good, scenic, accesseble yet too far.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: nothing much to shop. just go there and stretch and relax.

Chikmagalur Experience: The area is quite scenic. We were able to visit Mulayanagiri by road. The road is very narrow in some stretches and driving is a little dangerous. The road from Mulayangiri to Kemmangundi via the Bhadra wildlife sanctuary is pretty bad. But the alternate route from Kemmangundi to Chikmagalur was OK. Lots of scenic spots but food is a bit of a problem.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Getting proper food at the tourist spots is a problem. Chikmagalur town has a couple of good restaurants. You can get to purchase good coffee powder on the main road.

Activities & things to do: Trekking is quite good near the waterfalls but watch out for leeches. White water rafting is also available for adventure lovers. Belur and Halebid are also fairly close by and are well worth a visit.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The road from Bangalore via Hassan is fairly good.As indicated earlier food is a problem at the tourist spots so it is better that you carry your own food. The weather is quite pleasant.

Chikmagalur Experience: Chickmagalur is quite a fun centre. u have several mountain peaks like mulaingiri, bababudanagiri, kemangundi, near by.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We visited Planters court for dinner , was ok

Chikmagalur Experience: The destination is very good we all enjoyed a lot in hebbe falls. The water is too cold that what all are still remembering.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Z point everybody should see without fail.

Activities & things to do: Must and should have to bath in hebbe falls.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You should reach hebbe falls nearly at 11 to 12 am and z point at sharp 6 pm

Chikmagalur Experience: One of best destination for nature lovers. Need to spend at least 3 days to know about the place.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The highest point in karnataka ie Mullayana giri peak at 6000 feet And Masala dosa at town canteen

Activities & things to do: Trekking and enjoy the silence of nature. bird watching and lots water falls during rainy season.

Chikmagalur Experience: We go by car from Bangalore. And the Road is good. It takes 5 hours from Bangalore. The day temperature is high when compare with Ooty and Kodaikanal. But night temperature is very pleasant. the opt time to visit Chikmagalur is October to December

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is no much big shopping place. Vegetarian and Non vegetarian food is available. And it is very tasty. Beautiful sceneries around the Chikmagalur.

Activities & things to do: Green wood forest resort has very large area to play shuttle, campfire.

Chikmagalur Experience: Ok but there is no good restaurants at chikmagalur also there is no restaurant at kemanaguddi which was horrible.

Chikmagalur Experience: 40kms from Chikkamagalur, but 14km away from hebbe Falls, 3km away from Kalatti Falls.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food - Very Good, Sight Seeing - Kalatti Falls, Hebbe Falls & Kemmanagundi. & Shopping - NA

Activities & things to do: Riffle Shooting, Table tennis, Carrom, Fire Camp, Good Music System.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: 35kms to 40kms off Chikkamagalur, you will pass through good Coffee Estates.

Chikmagalur Experience: Overall the place is good for people who want be away from city congestion and people like nature spend like with nature.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight Seeing -Tea Plantation you can view. Food -Will be prepared in bunglow. No restaurants and hotels nearby. Shopping-Coffee and Tea Powder can be purchased in near by estates

Activities & things to do: Trekking and sight seeing

Chikmagalur Experience: It was good experience at chikmagalur to ride a cycle in green zone and enjoy fresh air and see mountains around.

"The new year trip"

Chikmagalur Experience: The place chickmagalur was good, it is infested by coffee estates and it's weather is very pleasant, climbing to the highest peak was a great experience and the scary roads.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The park there and the highest peak and the water sports at the yagachi dam.

Activities & things to do: Trekking there is a Good experience at the buttermilk falls and also towards the peak.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Location is easy to be connected but the people who have motion sickness have to be well Equipped for the ghats and always keep water bottles or energy drinks and driving up the peak would be a task as the roads are really ad which is quite scary at such high altitudes and always keep safe.
