"Official visit to Coimbatore"

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is easily reachable,plenty of transport modes. Near by travel to hillstation are accessable. Can visit lot of Temples. Air port is also reachable. This place near by Pollachi and tiger falls. Amaravathi dam is also there on the way from Coimbatore to Munnar.Amaravathi dam is with less water and needs to be revamped for facilities.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Mettupalayam,Amman Temple, Palghat, OOTY, Coonoor, Marudhamalai temple can be visited. You can easily get good food in and around in grand hotels and also restaurants

Activities & things to do: Lot of shopping in and around Gandhipuram area.

Coimbatore Experience: The climate is very good and for drinking water 'Siruvani' is very famous. Marudhamalai temple is very near and Isha home is also very near.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Annapurna restaurant is excellent. Kalyan Jewellery is famous for buying jewellery at a reasonable rate compared to other jewellers.

Activities & things to do: Marudhamalai temple and Isha Yoga centre are the famous places to visit. People here are very industrious and active.

Coimbatore Experience: Nice lace to visit.when reaching from Trissur.Please use shoranur-ottapallam-palghat-coimabtor.Do not use tirshur-palghat-coimbatore.The road between tirsuur and palghat is too bad.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: excellent Have food at Hotel Annapoorna.Marudamalai.Perur(shiva temple).

Activities & things to do: nothing much to say

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: do not stay without knowing well about the hotel or its surroundings. Please be careful while driving, as no one follows the traffic rules.

Coimbatore Experience: destination is pleasant during january .I feel comfortable during my stay

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food is good and both south and north food was available sight seeing is enjoyable .we made shopping some saree as it is famous

Activities & things to do: activities actually is made at I.R.C venu there fore we have not participated any activities in hotel

"destination to retire to."

Coimbatore Experience: the place by itself is a 'rapidly developing project'. you can find decent hotels for food and stay. its located in close proximity to palaghat(kerala), tirpur, ooty(hill station). Mysore and so on. so you could drop in here for a two or day stay and decide where to hop to next ;)

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food is the best part of coimbatore, two of my favorites are 'thats y food' and the buffet at 'residency'. you have Dhyanalinga a temple (not what you would usually expect- its sort of a yogic temple), kovai kutralam. If your bringing the kids, recently opened malls(really huge ones) would be an eye candy for them. you have both McDonalds and KFC(for those who were wondering). but apart from these malls there aint much of entertainment here, but i wouldnt complain.

Activities & things to do: there are pay/ hour swimming pools, and a few clubs however i did not have the time to try them out. The shopping malls again will drain a lot of you time there.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: earlier i would have warned you about the roads but now most of them are real good. no matter what happens never 'NEVER' hire an auto. call taxi's are cheaper and comfortable. if you from out of India and you want to shop from the local market, call an Indian friend to accompany you, or you will for sure end up paying more. the city by itself is reasonably safe.

"I LOVE KOVAI"

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is a combination of Kochi and Bangalore. Both industries and agriculture cherish here. It enjoys a cool Arabian sea breeze through Palghat pass, through out the year. Most importantly, in my opinion, people's civic sense is highest here IN T.N. You can rarely see road encroachments.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Anna poorana, hotel anjappar. Around coimbatorere, sight seeing areas: pollaachi, valpaarai, black thunder, ooty, bhavani sagar. Shopping in 'fun republic'

"Hotel stay"

Coimbatore Experience: The place is very good especially people over there are soft and very affectionate.. The food quality is good and the hotels are there like annapoorna, anandas, etc are in very good quality.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: good place to have traditional food. ooty is nearby which is the very good sight-seeing spot. shopping as usual in other places in tamilnadu.

Activities & things to do: i gone for official purpose so i have not undergo much of activities.

Coimbatore Experience: Fastly growing city. Mix of cultures Professional colleges are one of the best.Nice people.Beautiful landscapes.

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is a fast growing industrial city in Tamil nadu, Nearest hill station is ooty, and Top slip near Pollachi. Good place to visit.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Annaporna Gowri Shanker is good veg resturant , good place to shop for cotton sarees etc

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is a fantastic place for shopping as well as educational institutions. The people over there are friendly and hospitable. There is a place to visit for every age group right from a kid to an old man.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotel Annapoorna for food. Ganapathi Silks for garment shopping. A lot of temples to visit.

Activities & things to do: We did not have enough time for the above. Hence could not comment.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Coimbatore is a major Tier II city in South India. It is centrally located to all important destinations of south india including Ooty, Palghat, Tiruppur, Madurai and Mysore.

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore has a pleasant climate and it is one of the fastest growing tier-II cities in India and a major textile, industrial,commercial, educational, IT, healthcare and manufacturing hub of Tamil Nadu.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Eachanari Temple, VOC Park, kovai kutrallam, brookefield mall, black thunder

Activities & things to do: here are several nature and amusement parks in and around the city

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is a great city full of collages, hospitals, industries its a well high tech city for visitors and good climate to stay..

Activities & things to do: In the city many interesting places are located. should see for fun..

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is a nice place. Neat and clean, with broad roads. Cool climate. Nice places to watch around. Ooty, Dhiyanalingam and Siruvani etc.,

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Every thing was upto the mark eg. food at Annapoorna is worth mentioning, shopping at cross cut road.

Activities & things to do: Lot of sight seeing and holy places around Coimbatore

Coimbatore Experience: It is a nice place with lot of tourist spots around. A good hotel adds to the pleasure of visiting the city.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food served at this hotel and in the nearby restaurants are really good and very affordable.

Activities & things to do: A days trip to Ooty is possible provided you are prepared to take the road to reach Ooty.You can also visit Guruvayur in Kerala which can be easily reached by road.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: A good connectivity by train and road is available from Chennai, Bangaluru and other important cities in the south.

Coimbatore Experience: Sight seeing around es specially aanaikatti carlcubel trainning institute is very nice place for official training Coimbatore is good

"Isha Yoga Centre"

Coimbatore Experience: I made my trip to coimbatore to visit Isha Yoga Centre, It is the best environment i have ever experienced in my life.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was good in a restaurant named Vasanth Bhavan which is very near to the hotel, Shopping was ok

Activities & things to do: As far i am concerned, i think coimbatore can be visited for Isha Yoga centre

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: It is better to reach coimbatore junction by train, from there if you want to go to any place in the coimbatore, you can go to either Gandhipuram or Ukkadam bus stop. However, we cannot rely on bus schedule in peak times

Coimbatore Experience: Very nice scenic place with a temple at hill top .Lot of shops along the steps would get you the taste of mangos and white snacks. The main sanctum consists of Lord muruga . Nice quiet place to relax and have a splendid evening. There is a bus run by temple to take you to the top but it ll take a while to get one.

"Stay in Sree Murugan"

Coimbatore Experience: A good place in Tamil Nadu and lots of hotels is located very near to the Rly station. The plus point is walkable and need not spend on Auto and go around the city. The city has a very good/ pleasant weather.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Annapoorna Gowri Shankar is the best hotel far vegetarians. All the foods from Breakfasst to dinner is very good. Especially the combo-breakfast is nice and reasonably priced. Yummy foods in quick time. The ambiance is also great. Shopping of slik clothes I would prefer PSR Silks . Located in a nice place with lots of executives in the shop for helping.

Activities & things to do: Shopping, Temple visits, Isha Foundation, etc..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Train and Buses available from Bangalore,chennai. North Indian foods are not upto the expectation. Lots of pubs and drunkards move around. . Beware while walking down the roads near the pubs.

Coimbatore Experience: Manchester of south india. nice climate. I completed my Engg. graduation in Coimbatore in 1980. People are soft, easy moving, and sincere. Have good transport facilities connecting surrounding tourism places like Ooty, Azhiyar,etc.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: RHR and THAI hotels are cheap and best.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Does not arise. Because of my official tour to Coimbatore relating to IRC annual Conference.

Coimbatore Experience: Coimbatore is a like metro city with all facillities available including planes.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is fantastic including north indian dishes also.for shopping,threr is lot of scope, only thing you should have time.

Activities & things to do: Particularly shopping for clothes.
