"Cool destination for Summer"

Darjeeling Experience: Darjeeling is a very good destination during the summer. Temperature is below 18 degree. Site seen are only mountains, Gardens, Monesty and Ropeway etc. Roads are very congested. Jus for summer vacation its good to stay for 2 to 3 days.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is no good south Indian dishes. Ropeway & Tiger Hill were main attraction. Shopping is little bit costly. Tea leaf near the Tea Garden was very cheap.

Activities & things to do: Site seen from the top of hills, mountain views etc.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Kolkata you can travel by Train upto NJP then drive to Darjeeling. or Fly upto Bagdogra then drive to Darjeeling.

"HEAVEN ON THE EARTH"

Darjeeling Experience: There are no words to experience the place only seeing is believing. the tea estates on the mountains and rice fields on the slop of hills the clouds and rain the cold feeling, people so coopertive and polite, the drivers take care of you and feel proud to have the visitors in their place they show you everything without any expectation. Every house has own small garden and flower plants we feel proud to have such place in India

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We took food only in hotel sinclair. Visited mirik lake and lama hata while drive from njp to darjeeling see the beauty of the ghat and rivers kanchanganga monestry etc. shopping is done during the sightseeing

Activities & things to do: Always book taxi through local taxiwala or through hotels manager you walk down to market and enjoy the local market

Darjeeling Experience: It is in west bengal and is one of the cold city. Buddha temples are good there. Even zoo is also good.

Darjeeling Experience: Darjeeling, the trip from njp to darjeeling that too in the after noon still i remember it with a nostalgic feeling.the greenery and the wild beauty of mountain ranges..i was feeling that i was in another planet..something like pandora in avatar filim.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The tiger hills,the distant view of ice covered k2 mountain ranges and the zoo.all are excellent

Activities & things to do: Simply go for evening walk around chourashtra square

Darjeeling Experience: Darjeeling is a good place to see and travel

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Zoo, volcano hill, sun rise and toy train ride, mall road are the best tourist destination you should visit

Activities & things to do: Enjoy the trmendeous cool tmperature of darzeeling. Go to volcano hill and morning walk in cool enviorment

"Trip to Darjeeling"

Darjeeling Experience: It was a good destination located on a very good area . There was all the things to relax. The people there were nice they tell us about the history of baba harbhajan singh . There was a good market in darjeeling .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food was awesome . I still remember those 'momos' that we ate at bhanjari falls. The sight was good. the green teas on every side . The market was well maintained . There was a restaurant which was named 'hasty tasty' . I like that restaurant very much

Activities & things to do: There were good activities . We do paragliding , white water rafting , rock climbing and many more

Darjeeling Experience: Darjeeling is one of very good travel destination in india. i can say it is very cheapest tourist spot in india and it has many of attraction and beauty.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: attraction of destination is tiger hill there was a chinese restaurant near from our hotel that was very good food was good.

Darjeeling Experience: From Siliguri the road reaches Darjeeling has a number of winding over the hills, if you travel via Mirik you will be mesmerized by the majestic view of the Tea Gardens. Even if you travel by the Toy Train that will be an added advantage, you will travel through the UNESCO Heritage Railways. The hills are having some story behind each of them, right from the British era. When you happens meet the majestic Kanchenjunga family you will be spell bound and for this you must visit Tiger Hill at dawn in a clear morning. I visited five times this queen of hills since 1982 till 2007.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food are nice, you may taste the local Tibetans food i.e. the Momo and Thukpa. Local sight seeing are there and for that local tour operators are the best choice.Shopping centers are there, you may buy Tibetan Tankha Paintings, one type of Wall Hanging. Many curio shops are there with showcase full.

Activities & things to do: A number of trekking are possible from here. The best one is Sandakphu trekking, there are many routes in this trekking, the best one is Sandakphu-Falut-Gorke-Ramam-Rimbik route. You can visualize Mount Everest from Sandkphu(the highest point in West Bengal) and the Kanchenjunga family in more details.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Kolkata by air reachupto Bagdogr then by car. From Kolkata or from New Delhi you may reach New Jalpaiguri by train then by car or bus. Be careful about the drinking water, don't take water from the source. Mineral water bottles are available through out the route.

Darjeeling Experience: Superb place, and a very good localites live here, all the peoples are very co operative, Central nirvana is a very good hotel

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The best restaurent is hasty tasty at mall road, mall road is the best place, padmaja zoological park is a very good place to see, peace pagoda, happy velly tea state, tibetian refugee centre is also not to be missed

Darjeeling Experience: A new world to explore with a combination of culture,religion,people,weather endless where one can find the most valuable thing ie. Himself.

Activities & things to do: Below and above the cloud , side of water falls , between the hills all activities any time , every time.

Darjeeling Experience: Excellent weather best time to visit - Mar- jul . local people is very good

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: good food (momo is very natural there )

Activities & things to do: sight seeing and just to stay with family not recommend to out going bachelors

Darjeeling Experience: Its a excellent destination with a beautiful weather all year round.Good friendly local people and good shopping. Great view of mountains and the Himalayas. Walking around the town was a great experience and even cycling.Best experience was walking around the mall in the daytime and evening time. Soothing breeze to calm your mind and no traffic honks. feel like you are in a total different world.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Favourite places to dine was Orchid restaurant in Central Resort. Momo's ,South Indian cuisines and Thukpa at Kanikas at S.D.Lama road.For Bakery Glenarys was excellent. Zoo with all Himalayan Animals was a total different experience. paragliding and hot air balloon was very exciting.Visit to the tea gardens was amazing. Cool relaxing weather and beautiful walk around the mall.

Activities & things to do: Gymkhana Club in the Mall has daily membership system where one can play all kinds of games like squash,badminton,T.T,lawn tennis,billards etc, which is good fun.Walk around the mall is breath taking and even horse riding adds to your enjoyment.

Darjeeling Experience: Darjeeling is located in Kanchanjunga hills florish with tea gardens, excellent weather and amazing sight seeing places

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: All Food are available for Indian and foreign tourist, major restaurant chains are available. Shopping at Darjeeling is best place to get things of choice at reasonable rates

Activities & things to do: Sight Seeing, mountain ride, tea garden visits, Journey of Heritage toy train

Darjeeling Experience: nothing much to see except tea gardens and much talked sunrise was disappointing for me.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food was good in the hotel and a resturant park plaza was good. local shopping of caps and mufflers

Activities & things to do: nothing much to do except walking on the mall road with very cool weather in april and little bit shopping.go to see the sunrise and on the way back see other tea gardens and zoo.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: go to bagdogra by air and catch a cab to darjeling ,it will take three hours journey,not forget to take warm clothes.

Darjeeling Experience: We were expecting more from the place but its just good to have to be there. The place has lost its charm, I guess.

Darjeeling Experience: Its an amazing place to visit. The very thought of being able to be a part of the amazing land of the lepchas and gorkhas fills me up with joy. It was a nostalgic experience for me to take a train from sealdah station to NJP. Within 3 and half hours you would be in the town of Darjeeling(if you can take the route that goes thorugh Kerseong). The misty mornings, warm sunshine filled noons and chilli evenings is definitely a beauty in itself.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: If you have grown up reading Enid Blyton books where vivid description of English breakfast awaits you, trust me Keventus is the place where you need to have your Breakfast or Brunch. Gulp it down with the a steaming cup of Darjeeling tea and the view of the amazing Kanchanjangha. You can also get a view of the mall road and the nearby hotels from the terrace of Keventus. Another must visit place is Glenary. The sheer smell of the fresh cakes and cookies when you pass the resturant makes your day.

Activities & things to do: You can go for a brisk walk and get lost in the streets of the town. No matter where you go you would find unknown faces with warm smile and the best part is these people are really friendly and helpful. You can take a Joy Ride of the historic train from Darjeeling to Ghoom and back(make sue you get the tickets done in advance, it can be booked online) another must do thing is try out the momos at any road side hotels and should buy those colourfull home made caps and gloves.

Darjeeling Experience: the city was very nice and the sites were magical the sunrise is still a all time memory and the tea gardens were awesome

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: the local street foods were awesome and the lunch & dinner were good tea on the gardens were refreshing

Activities & things to do: just book a cab and go lost in the valley of darjeeling

Darjeeling Experience: Darjeeling, The Last destination of Hills. You don�t like any other Hill station, if you once go to Darjeeling. Beautiful hill station, I think a Hill station with maximum height in India. Full of nature. Just stay & feel that�s all for Darjeeling. Too cool but pleasant climate. Kanchanjangha, Tea gardens, Water fall, Lake, Mountaineering, Himalayan animals & birds, deep valleys, other lots of things to enjoy.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Tiger hill famous for sunrise � thousands of people gathering in the early morning to fell the exciting moment of their life. You can see the beauty golden kanchanjangha right from here only. Zoological Garden � Panda, tiger, so many birds � must see place Mountaineering Institute � Must see for Himalaya lovers & adventures people Rock Garden : What a beautiful place this is. You can stay here for whole day. Perfect picnic place. Beauty of water fall, flowers, trees really amazing. Batasia loop : Beautiful garden, We can see Beautiful landscape view of Kanchanjangha from here Mall road : We can see beauty of Darjeeling from here. Perfect place for Eating, Shopping.
