Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Some of the key places to visit include Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, Tashi View Point,Tsomgo lake,Babamandir and Nathula pass also.The MG road mall is too much attractive for shopping.

Activities & things to do: Trekking,river rafting,mountain biking,yak riding at tsomgo lake and lots more.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri are the two rail stations nearest to Sikkim located in West Bengal. NJP is 125 Kms and Siliguri is 114 Kms from Gangtok . The airport located nearest to Sikkim is Bagdogra Airport of West Bengal which is only 124 Kms away from Gangtok.The lifeline of Sikkim, which is National Highway 31A connects gangtok with Siliguri by road.

Gangtok Experience: This is a must visit place in India so please visit if you wish to known the Sikkim .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Only fast food through the journey. in hotel take normal food.

Activities & things to do: travels and travels if you want to travel as per your schedules please take time in your hand visit the place.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: after reaching the ngp ,go to gantok then after you selecting the Package or rent personal car .

"Nice Experience"

Gangtok Experience: Covered Gangtok,south sikkim,north sikkim. Was not able to visit nathula pass as the road was closed due to landslide. In May we faced unexpected rains.Apart from rain everything was fine.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Do not miss Lachen and Lachung in north sikkim. Char Dham in south sikkim was awesome.

Activities & things to do: Visit South sikkim to see char dham.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take train from kolkatta to NJP.then can reach to gangtok by private car or shared car.

"SIKKIM TOUR"

Gangtok Experience: Gangtok and around the gangtok is natural beauty. Mountains , fog, rain at places , cold experienced in the month of april end was appealing. Tosmo lake entry was prohibitted due to improper road. Now road repairing and broadening work is going on. Mgm market is good area in the evening time in proper gangtok.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotels are good. Especially thank god that vegeterian food is also available on demand. People are honest and good at present. No cheating find out in shopping. I never find anybody fighting or shouting in the tour. In namchi we enjoyed the big statue of lord shanker. There are all the dhamas( baradham) at one place. Very good feeling at that palce and good place to visit. Never miss this site

Activities & things to do: Rock climbing available is good fun. Buying sweaters, enjoying the site scene , travelling through the mountains, ice available and coldness experienced is beyond describable. Water flowing through the mountains looks good to watch . Sunrise and mountains capped with ice looks like silver patched over the mountain relaxes the stress and remains in the memory for long. Photographs taken during the journey recalls the memory even at home..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From indore we went to calcutta, from calcutta to new jalpaiguddi by train . The from new jalpaigudi to gangtok by sumo gold. Gangtok to lachung , yumthang. From lachung to gangtok by sumo. Then to namchi. Return to new jalpaigudi . Returned to calcutta by train.

"Trip to Gangtok- unforgettable"

Gangtok Experience: Destination was good. From NJP to gangtok , it was tiresome journey but no other options i can say . Hence was good . Amazing weather there . Cant see much but overall it was great being with friends .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food yes we found good breakfast options there. dinner was also nicely cooked . Was like home made even . Street food is also not bad. Try momos there . Was good . sight- seeing yes ofcourse was lovely amazing .Shopping i guess one can purchase Budha's statue , Hanging bells , Tibetian's handicraft .

Activities & things to do: I heard about river rafting there but that needs one day so unable to go for that . Rest rope-way was there but was ok types

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Lots of travelling i found . So have some pills with you while travelling if anyone have problem travelling much . Option just taxi nothing else to go so to go everywhere either walk or take taxi .

"Holiday experience"

Gangtok Experience: Great place to stay, clean environment, peaceful people, no thugs, very good response if any help required from the locals.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Taste of Tibet (must have thukpa), Girlfriend (nice collection of clothes),Sikkim Handloom (best to buy Handicrafts and also helps local people for fair trade), want to but orchid go to garden to buy orchid seeds

Activities & things to do: Rope way, dive to Tsango Lake, visit enchey monastery, baba mandir, ganesh mandir, the stupa

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: carry an overcoat for north sikkim trip(caps n mufflers a must), a thin sweater will do in summers for the city. take a long walk and go to the local market for Jurpi (hard cheese)

Gangtok Experience: North Sikkim- I like Lachun, Lachen, Yamthang. But hotels in Lachen, Lachung is not very impressive. They are like residential lodge.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: As mention above food also is of home made in not a standard maintained.

Activities & things to do: To see natural beauty of snow falling and water falls.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You have to take woolen clothes as climate is very cold.

Gangtok Experience: A very beautiful place, lot of greenary, snowfall in Yumthang was a memorable experience.Bagdogra to Gangtok is a beautiful experience. Char dham is made very well. A true replica of all four dhams, thoroughly enjoyed

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Keepsa served very nice food did not have to go out..Dominos is good. Way to Lachung is a memorable experience.Yumthang valley a must visit

Activities & things to do: North Sikkim must be seen. Nathula pass is good.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Be prepared for landslides.If travelling by Air to Bagdogra and then by road to Gangtok, can face traffic Jams

Gangtok Experience: Gangtok is the best city with beautiful crowd and location.city is very clean.Their you feel like heaven is place on earth.Fruit were very delicious

Gangtok Experience: Its a capital of sikkim and very clean city although very beautiful city. The market is good in the city.

Gangtok Experience: Wow gangtok is seen like heaven peaceful n joyful people .inspirational culture like budhist. I luv to visit again for not just a week but 15 to 20 days.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Baba mandir and its nearest location is fantastic. Heart breathing coldness. And khanchanjhanga oh god mind blowing.

Activities & things to do: Just enjoy fire claiming and coldness and ofcourse 13000 feet hight.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Of course by flight.its easy. Because train sceduling minimum 36 hour that was so long.

Gangtok Experience: Gangtok is a fantastic place to visit with your family . People are very friendly there . Best part of it is the weather which is the most enjoyable thing .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Price of the food is slightly higher there but the quality and taste is good . There are so many sight-seeing places . And the shopping place is superb . The people do not cheat there regarding selling of things .

Activities & things to do: Sight-Seeing is the best thing to do , specially Changoo Lake .

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Go early for side-seeing and come back as quickly as posiible because the weather condtion is unpredictable there .

Gangtok Experience: Heavenly place gangtok! and people of gangtok very friendly and hospitable. Nice weather and good food and few good destinations to see.

Gangtok Experience: it is an awesome place for the entire family to enjoy and for friends to have a get together and for a honeymoon couple to start there life with cool brezz

Gangtok Experience: We love the snow capped mountains and chilly weather. So we decided to visit the snowy Sikkim, though we were apprehensive about getting snow during April 2013.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Stay in Sagrika is a must if you are a Bengalee and specially if you are visiting as a family who have mix of preferences and members from different generations. Sagorika will satisfy your complex need hands down. Must vist Tsogmo Lake and Nathula Pass in the East Sikkim. Mall is very clean and flowery.

Activities & things to do: Playing with snow in Nathula and Chhangu Lake.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: By road from NJP to Gangtok is preferable due to the adventurous track. You should pick up a good driver. Bolero is the best SUV for the road travel to Gangtok from NJP. Beware of the landslides during monsoon, please avoid travelling in this region. Enjoy and of course click photos to your heart's content.

Gangtok Experience: Over and all destination was good.as it was my honeymoon so we enjoyed a lot..in yumthang we enjoyed a lot because der we got a little chill weather bt in gangtok we did nt found weather good but over and all nice and good trip..and the room of ur hotel was nice from der we can see a good sight seen..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sandwich in the morning of the resort.

Activities & things to do: Went to yumthang and it was a lovely exprience.

Gangtok Experience: Felt Better that Kashmir. Very Friendly & Courteous People. Loved every moment. Nathula Pass, TSOMGO Lake, M.G. Road Market. Excellent.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: M.G. Road Market - Not to be missed! Beautiful!

Activities & things to do: Snow - one can enjoy! Yak Ride too! the Flower Show in Gangtok - if you love photography & have a DSLR Camera, you'll Love this Show.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Carry your woolens! Loaded! Snow wear is available everywhere at nominal rentals.

"Gangtok-not to be missed"

Gangtok Experience: Nathula pass is one of the must see place. MG road is very well maintained with flowers all thru the street stretch and it is very clean without any pollution. Overall experience was very good .

Activities & things to do: snowfall, climate, local sight seeing, shopping in Marg road, view room in your hotel

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: check for temperature before you start. sOmetimes Nathula pass is too risky when snowfall is more

Gangtok Experience: Gangtok trip was one of the memorable trip of my life. The place and its ambiance was very soothing The mg road market place was the best place to hang around. Would love to this place again.

Gangtok Experience: its been an excellent experience having a nice trip to gangtok this month.the season is absolutely favourable and suitable and enjoyable.specially the hotel includes the main part of the beauty.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: gangtok market,all hotel food and restaurant i used since it was office meeting.

Activities & things to do: room service should be little better
