Ghaziabad stay

Ghaziabad is less polluted than New Delhi rather than its industrial area there are good and big shopping malls and food hubs like Bikanerwala and good transportation service all over city it's takes one hour from Airport in early morning and hotel county Inn is five star condition with pure vegetation food, with italic Chinese punjabi & South Indian and best is the no smoking zone.

It was a OK stay at Country Inn

I booked a single king size bed but I got small beds and washroom lock was not working. There was a long delay in service. I expected a relaxed stayed from country inn but because of some problems with general facilities like washroom and beds my experience was not good at country inn

Ghaziabad Overview

History of Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad is situated in the western part of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Located on the banks of the Hindon River, Ghaziabad is known as the gateway to Uttar Pradesh.Ghaziabad was founded by emperor Ghazi-ud-din in the year 1704. Ghaziabad was known by the name Ghaziuddin Nagar in those days when Ghazi-ud-din built a palace for himself. Since then, this monument has come to ruins except for the gate, a few portions of the boundary wall and a 14-feet-high massive pillar.Several warriors and rulers fought for the possession of Ghaziabad. Ghaziabad saw the defeat and assassination of the Jat ruler Surajmal by Rohillas. The multiple conquests for Ghaziabad have left deep imprints in the culture of this region.

Ghaziabad played an important role in India's struggle for independence. Ghaziabad was the venue for the Mutiny of 1857. The banks of the River Hindon became the battleground for the Mutineers and British Forces.Ghaziabad was earlier a Tehsil in the district of Meerut and in the year 1976, Ghaziabad was declared a district. The proximity of Ghaziabad to Delhi has been a great advantage for the development of this region as an industrial area.

People and Culture of Ghaziabad

With the rise in tourism and industrialization, the economy of the place has been greatly improved. The sleepy industrial town of Ghaziabad has now changed into a modern suburb of Delhi. Today, Ghaziabad is considered as one among the most dynamic industrial cities in the country.
