Very good city

This is very good place and very good city for holiday. We go to Ghaziabad 4 tym in one month. This city romantic city for me. This city have many malls, very comfortable hotels, many park. This city is affordable many type. This city is very many cheap city.

A developing city with lots of shopping places

I was very excited when I came in Ghaziabad to my higher studies. It's such a good place, lots of shopping places are there. Delhi is very close and it's a developed city, population is very high, lots of traffic on roads.

History of Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad is situated in the western part of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Located on the banks of the Hindon River, Ghaziabad is known as the gateway to Uttar Pradesh.Ghaziabad was founded by emperor Ghazi-ud-din in the year 1704. Ghaziabad was known by the name Ghaziuddin Nagar in those days when Ghazi-ud-din built a palace for himself. Since then, this monument has come to ruins except for the gate, a few portions of the boundary wall and a 14-feet-high massive pillar.Several warriors and rulers fought for the possession of Ghaziabad. Ghaziabad saw the defeat and assassination of the Jat ruler Surajmal by Rohillas. The multiple conquests for Ghaziabad have left deep imprints in the culture of this region.

Ghaziabad played an important role in India's struggle for independence. Ghaziabad was the venue for the Mutiny of 1857. The banks of the River Hindon became the battleground for the Mutineers and British Forces.Ghaziabad was earlier a Tehsil in the district of Meerut and in the year 1976, Ghaziabad was declared a district. The proximity of Ghaziabad to Delhi has been a great advantage for the development of this region as an industrial area.
