Best place for winter sports

1. Why to visit?
It is by far the best place in India for winter sports. It has enchanting view of meadows covered in beautiful flower beds during summers.
2. Must Visit Places.
With amazing range of hotels to stay around. Khyber hotel a 5 star property provides you with delicious range of cuisines and a warm comfortable stay too. The Rani Temple in the middle and Hari Palace and Baba Reshi shrine while coming back from Gulmarg is worth going.
3. Local food and shopping.
Local food at Khyber Hotel is good and Nedous Hotel is also nice. For shopping nothing much is of the same sort is available at Srinagar also)
4. Activities.
The cable car ride is a wonderful experience lifting you from base to a height of 13000 ft within one hours time( including break at first phase).
The snow scooter and skiing during winters and ATV during summers is a must do thing. Can go for pony ride also.
5. Advice.
(adoring Winters.
Carry 2-3 warm Jackets with one being waterproof for prevention from snow and rain. The locally available jackets are unhygienic and used repeatedly by everyone. Carry spare shoes and socks as well. Carry own medicine for common cold, mountain sickness etc. Do carry a camera. Bargain with the snow sledge and snow scooter owners.
(be) During Summers
Do carry own camera. Bargain as much as you can with the local pony riders and All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) owners.
