Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Good food as the accommodation included breakfast, lunch, dinner. there are many temples near jalpaiguri some of which are really ancient and are of very important in hindu mythology, the energy is pure and divine..very few people visit them so a nice place to sit quietly and do nothing but absorbing the positive vibe..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Its a bit remote and offbeaten path as i traveled alone so i changed many buses rickshaw and even walk a lil..to reach there one can easily get a rickshaw from Falakata to the lodge.. the best advise is to keep asking people for direction and the easiest way to reach...trust me its the best advice i could give you..

Jaldapara Experience: Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the few places where you can see the one horned Rhino. It is a beautiful forest with wild range of varied flora and fauna. A must see for Jungle lovers - if you are lucky you can spot Rhinos, Elephants, Sambar, Fishing Owls, Eagles, Horn bills and if you are born lucky you may even spot leopards and the Royal Bengal Tiger.

Activities & things to do: Best way to roam the forest is trekking, sadly not allowed.The next best option is Elephant Ride which you can take if you are staying either in Hollong Tourist Lodge or Jaldapara Tourist Lodge.The third option is Jungle Safari in Gypsies which is readily available.You can spend time at Watch Towers to sight the animals.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Best Option is to take train - both cheap and comfortable, from Sealdah (Kolkata) to Hasimara by Kanchankanya Express. You can also book a vehicle from Bagdogra Airport to Madarihat. Always book a Government Tourist Lodge to avail Elephant Ride which is really a wonderful experience. Keep plenty of mosquito repellents with you. Carry Head Cover - Caps/ Hats in Summer and Winter Caps in Winter. Sunglasses. Always wear fully covered footwear's - shoes, sneakers (best). If you are going with kids below 5 years, whenever you are in any safari in any jungle their ears must be covered.
