Jhunjhunu is famous for its haveli, forts and other old buildings. The Jorawargargh Fort, Badalgarh Fort and Akhegarh Fort are some of the popular forts of the region. Another popular place is the Khetri Mahal that was built by Thakur Singh of Khetri and is known for its architecture. Tourists can also visit the haveli of Muragh Das Modi, Khaitans, Ishwardas Mohandas, Tiberwala and Hem Raj Kulwal.
Jhunjhunu is famous for some religious sites such as the Rani Sati Temple, Biharji Temple, Satyanarayana Temple, Gopinathji Temple, Laxminath Temple, Kamarudin Shah Dargah and Pirazada Mohalla mosque. Tourists can also travel to Mehansar, to visit the popular Sone Chandi ki Haveli and Raghunath Temple.
Nahar, the pilgrimage centre at a distance of about 40 kilometres from Jhunjhunu, houses the Dargah of Sakharbar Shah, a Sufi saint. The Dargah is revered by both the Muslims and the Hindus. Tourists can also visit the Chhatri of Ram Dutt Goenka and the Dundlord Fort.
