Junagadh is one of ancient most beautiful place in Gujarat. The most famous place is the Gujarati saint-poet, Narsinha Mehta. But most important place is sasan gir, Gir National Park. We took uo gir safari and saw many Mango trees and wildlife. Girnar hill consist many smalls and big temple, this make religious environment. Best time to visit Junagadh is January- February.

"Exotic location"

  • 5.5/7
  • Posted Apr 25, 2015
Junagadh is a exotic location with lots of historical places and trekking opportunities. Lovely weather especially in the mornings and evenings. Well connected to Rajkot the nearest convenient airport by excellent road. Also well connected to other nearby towns. The main importance of Junagadh is its location as a take off point to Sasan Gir and Diu. Sufficient accommodation options to suit varying budgets are available as also eating joints. Very good place to relax too.

Visitor should travel there to know and to feel the nature. This place can also give the knowledge about the past. I visited Uparkot fort, willingdon dam, sakkarbaug zoo and many more. It just kept me busy, as I was taking photographs all the time of the beautiful hills and natures. You should keep a good camera to capture the nature.
