Kalakho village is situated amidst the Aravalli Hills in the Dausa District of Rajasthan. Chand Baoli, a 1000 years old step well, is one of the major sightseeing options in the village. This 100 ft deep well is located near the old Harshat Mata temple that was built by King Chand or Chandra of the Chauhan Dynasty.
The temple is enshrined with an idol of Goddess Harshat Mata. This temple is currently under the administration of the Archaeological Survey of India. Another important attraction in the region is Fort Madhogarh that has now been converted into a heritage hotel. It is a 400 year old fort that was built by Madho Singh, a Rajput King.
The village of Kalakho is also famous for Bhandarej, a step well called as the Bhandarej Baoli. Kalakho is also very close to small villages like Molai, Paparda, Baharawanda, Ghadora and Jodhya.
